e-SoftEasy Newsletter 4 - Release 2.6 soon to be finalized
- 5 Comment
Welcome to my fourth Newsletter.
During the past weeks I have been working on release 2.6 of e-SoftEasy Business Analytics, one of the new functionalities I will provide in release 2.6 will be the possibility of creating Overlaid Charts.
Overlaid charts are those that show different charts overlapped, I will be sharing one example as part of this newsletter.
Let’s go back to one of the new functionalities to provide in release 2.5. In the chart below you will see a bar chart with an overlaid line chart. The complexity of creating this report will not be high as you will just need to create two standard charts, one bar chart report and one line chart report. Finally to link them there will be a new screen created in which you will easily be able to link one to the other.
See the result:

As you can see there are two charts, one bar chart and one line chart, the initial one can be read looking at the Investment Y Axis and the line chart looking at the Sales Sales Y Axis. In the chart above you will easily be able to show that an increase of investment will automatically represent an increate in sales.
Finally I would like to let you know again a few features that are unique in e-SoftEasy Business Analytics:
- Chart and Dashboard generation in the web
- Can read from many sources: MS Access, Oracle, MySQL, MS Excel
- Generates automatically PDF files from any chart or dashboard
- Automatic export of Charts and Dashboards
- eMail of Charts and Dashboards to your customers
- And much more
This is all for now, I hope you have seen this as a useful newsletter, any comment or feedback you might have please feel free to submit it in the blog. Remember to register first by clicking the ”JOIN MY COMMUNITY!” button.
Regards,
Joaquin

Hi Asier,
thx for joining, I have just send you the link via email, you should have it in your inbox.e-SoftEasy is a Java application that works with any Java Application Server. The link I sent you will enable you to download e-SoftEasy Business Analytics and a free Tomcat Java environment ready to run, so you should not need anything else to run it. Java is multiplatform so any other Java application server should also run e-SoftEasy, there are many others but I have not tested IIS.
I have just surf a bit in the web and there seems to be several Java application servers for IIS, I have seen some good articles about “Caucho” - http://www.caucho.com.
Finally, as said you should not need IIS to run e-SoftEasy Business Analytics as the link I provided you has all you need to run it. If you need anything else please let me know.
